How to Identify a Ripe Kiwi
Gentle Squeeze Test – Press lightly with your thumb. A ripe kiwi feels slightly soft but not mushy.
Even Brown Skin – The skin should be brown and fuzzy, without wrinkles or dark, sunken spots.
Pleasant Aroma – Ripe kiwi has a mild, sweet fruity smell near the stem.
No Hardness – Very hard kiwi is unripe and needs more time to ripen.
Avoid Overripe Fruit – If it feels very soft or leaks juice, it’s overripe.
Tip: To ripen faster, place kiwi in a paper bag with an apple or banana at room temperature for 1–2 days.
